Published: · Updated: · Author: Marbiora
Quick answer

In Marbella, the 2022 Lamborghini Huracán EVO costs €1,200 for one day and the 2019 Huracán Performante costs €1,500, with a €5,000 deposit on both. Each has 640 hp and reaches 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The EVO gets cheaper the longer you keep it; the Performante is the hardcore version with active aerodynamics.

Lamborghini Huracán EVO vs Performante: differences and price

Renting a Lamborghini Huracán EVO in Marbella costs €1,200 for one day, while the Huracán Performante costs €1,500, so €300 more. Both are two-seat coupés with a 640 hp V10, the same 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds and the same €5,000 deposit. What really separates them is the character of each car and how the price behaves over a longer rental.

What is the difference between the Huracán EVO and the Huracán Performante?

The core difference is what each car was built for. The EVO is the road-going evolution of the model, with systems that make it easier to drive every day, and the Performante is the most extreme version, developed with the track in mind. They share the same naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10, but each one tackles corners its own way: one through the steering, the other through the air.

What makes the Huracán Performante special?

The Huracán Performante
is the version of the Huracán that Lamborghini built from 2017 to 2019 with ALA active aerodynamics and forged carbon fibre parts. According to the Wikipedia article on the Lamborghini Huracán, it weighs 40 kg less than the standard car, and Lamborghini credits the ALA system with 750% more downforce.

The history page for the Huracán Performante on Lamborghini's website describes how ALA works: it either adds downforce for stability through corners or cuts drag to help the car accelerate. In October 2016, a Performante prototype driven by Marco Mapelli lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:52.01. That one number tells you what the car was designed to do.

What does the Huracán EVO bring that the Performante lacks?

The Huracán EVO arrived in 2019 with the same 640 hp, plus four-wheel steering and the LDVI system. Lamborghini's page on the Huracán EVO says LDVI coordinates the car's dynamics based on the driving mode, the road conditions and the driver's inputs. Rear-wheel steering sharpens agility at low speed and adds stability at high speed.

On a Nueva Andalucía roundabout or in a hotel car park on the Golden Mile, that rear steering makes a low, wide car much easier to place. According to Wikipedia, the EVO also has an 8.4-inch touchscreen for controlling the car's functions. Both models top out at 325 km/h, according to the same source, which on coastal roads is a spec sheet figure and nothing more.

How much does it cost to rent a Lamborghini Huracán by the day?

To work out how much it costs to rent a Lamborghini Huracán, you need two different price ladders. The EVO has all six rate tiers published, while the Performante has only its one-day rate fixed. For two days or more in the Performante, the daily rate is confirmed in writing when you book, before any payment:

Rental length Huracán EVO, per day Huracán Performante, per day
1 day €1,200 €1,500
2 days €1,200 confirmed on booking
3 to 6 days €1,150 confirmed on booking
7 to 14 days €1,100 confirmed on booking
15 to 30 days €1,100 confirmed on booking
30 days or more €850 confirmed on booking

With the EVO, a two-day weekend costs €2,400 and three days cost €3,450. A week comes to €7,700, at €1,100 a day, with 1,050 km included, and a 30-day month falls to €25,500, at €850 a day. Every kilometre above the daily 150 costs €5 in the EVO, so a long day trip is worth working out in advance.

For the Performante, a like-for-like comparison is only possible for a single day: €1,500 against €1,200. The included mileage and the extra-kilometre price for the Performante appear in the booking confirmation. If you plan to drive beyond the Costa del Sol, put the route in your request and you will get all the figures at once.

Which Huracán suits the Costa del Sol better?

For most plans on the coast, the EVO is the sensible pick. It costs €300 less per day, its rate drops with each rental tier, and four-wheel steering makes narrow streets and garages far less stressful. The Performante wins when that specific car is the whole point of the trip. A quick way to decide:

  • choose the EVO if you are renting for more than two days, because from day three the rate falls to €1,150;
  • choose the EVO if you will be driving around Marbella, Puerto Banús and hotel car parks;
  • choose the EVO if you want a fixed price for a week or a month from the very first message;
  • choose the Performante if you want the version with ALA active aerodynamics and forged carbon fibre;
  • choose the Performante for a single special day, a photo shoot or a gift.

One rule applies to both cars. No car in the fleet may be rented for track days, driving courses or competitions, including private track days. The Performante was born with the circuit in mind, but with MARBIORA you enjoy it on the road, for example on the A-397 climb towards Ronda early in the morning before the traffic builds.

What does the price include, and how much is the deposit?

The rate for both cars includes comprehensive insurance for any rental length, free delivery and collection in Marbella, Puerto Banús and at Málaga Airport, a full clean before handover and a full tank. The EVO also comes with 150 km a day, which adds up to 1,050 km a week and 4,500 km a month.

The deposit is €5,000 on both the EVO and the Performante. It is blocked on a credit card in the main driver's name at handover and released once the car is back and has been checked. The insurance excess is a different figure: it depends on the model and appears in the booking confirmation next to the total price.

Not included are fuel, which works full to full, kilometres beyond the included allowance, and traffic fines and tolls during the rental. Those costs are paid by the renter, along with the admin charges for processing fines, and they are set out in the contract before you sign it.

Who can drive a rented Lamborghini Huracán?

Every driver must be 25 or older and have held a licence for at least three years, as with the rest of the fleet. At handover we check each driver's licence and passport or national ID, plus the main driver's credit card. The full list, including the International Driving Permit for non-EU licences, is in our guide to the documents you need to rent a car in Marbella.

This is a two-seater, so usually both people on the trip share the driving. Additional drivers are insured on the same terms as long as their names are sent before handover. Trips to Gibraltar or Portugal are agreed in advance, and the ferry to Morocco is not allowed with any car in the fleet.

Which Lamborghini should you pick if you need more seats?

If more than two of you are travelling, a two-seat coupé will not work, and the brand's answer is the Urus. The 2023 Urus has 666 hp and five seats and costs €1,200 for one day, the same as the Huracán EVO, while the 800 hp Urus SE hybrids cost €1,400. The table covering all six Lamborghinis on the coast is in our article on how much it costs to rent a Lamborghini in Marbella.

How do you book a Huracán EVO or a Huracán Performante?

Booking works the same way for both cars, and nothing is charged on the website. A request is not yet a booking: the car is reserved once we confirm availability, the total price, the deposit and the excess in writing. The process has five steps:

  1. Pick the car and the dates on the page for the Lamborghini Huracán EVO in Marbella or the Lamborghini Huracán Performante in Marbella.
  2. Send the request by WhatsApp, phone, email or through the MARBIORA contact page, with the delivery address, the time and the names of all drivers.
  3. Get a written confirmation with every figure the same day.
  4. Receive the car at your villa, hotel, marina or the Málaga Airport terminal, with a full tank and photographed.
  5. At the end, the car is collected wherever you are, and the deposit is released after the check.

In a straight line, neither: both have 640 hp, reach 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and, according to Wikipedia, top out at 325 km/h. The gap shows up in corners. The Performante relies on ALA active aerodynamics, while the EVO relies on four-wheel steering and the LDVI system.
