What we do have is the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE53 AMG, with 449 hp and five seats, based in Marbella. It costs €650 for one day and €450 a day from 30 days, with fully comprehensive insurance and free delivery included.
Can you rent a Mercedes GLE 450 in Marbella?
Not from us. The GLE53 AMG is the only GLE in the coast fleet, and we cannot commit to bringing in a GLE 450 for your dates. If you need that exact version, you will have to look for it at another company. If what you want is a six-cylinder petrol Mercedes SUV, the figures in this guide will tell you whether the AMG does the job.

- the petrol version of the GLE range with an inline six, 2,999 cc and all-wheel drive. It is a mild hybrid, meaning a combustion engine backed by a small electric system: the Mercedes-Benz USA page for the GLE 450 4MATIC describes an integrated starter-generator working with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery.
How do the GLE 450 and the GLE53 AMG differ on factory data?
The GLE 450 and the AMG GLE 53 share the engine layout and displacement, and part ways on power, torque and acceleration. The table sets the technical brochure for the GLE range from Mercedes-Benz UK, which predates 2026, next to the listing for our own car, so you can see both references together:

The UK brochure, which predates 2026, gives the AMG GLE 53 435 hp and 5.0 seconds; the listing for our 2026 car says 449 hp and 4.9 seconds. Against the factory GLE 450, the AMG gains 54 hp, 60 Nm and 0.6 seconds on the brochure figures, or 68 hp and 0.7 seconds on our listing. The 155 mph top speed, about 250 km/h, is the same on both models.
Why do GLE 450 figures vary online?
GLE 450 figures shift with the year and the country of the document. The Mercedes-Benz USA quick reference guide for the 2022 range gives 362 hp and 369 lb-ft. The Wikipedia article on the Mercedes-Benz GLE places 381 hp from February 2023, with 5.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, the same time the UK brochure quotes for 0 to 62 mph. Wikipedia publishes no engine figures for the 2026 facelift, so always check what year a number belongs to.
What changes when you drive the GLE53 AMG instead of a GLE 450?
The base stays put: the Mercedes-Benz UK brochure gives both models a 2,999 cc inline-six petrol engine with mild hybrid drive, plus the same published top speed. The hardware differences between the GLE 450 and the AMG GLE 53 fit in a short list, and every line comes from the factory documents cited above:
- an engine prepared by AMG, the performance arm of Mercedes, with 54 hp and 60 Nm more;
- an AMG SPEEDSHIFT nine-speed gearbox, against the 9G-TRONIC in the GLE 450;
- AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, against plain 4MATIC;
- 65 kg more on the scales, 2,375 kg against 2,310 kg.
Seats are where the GLE53 AMG stops being a substitute for a GLE 450. The UK brochure lists both models with seven seats, and Wikipedia notes a seven-seat option for the range, but our car has five. When does the GLE53 AMG work if you wanted a GLE 450?
The GLE53 AMG works if what you wanted from a GLE 450 was a petrol Mercedes SUV for five people, and it does not work if you needed that exact version or the third row. This list sums up the decision using the fleet data and the MARBIORA rental terms:
- up to five people, yes; six or seven, no;
- a GLE 450 with its factory 381 hp, no: the listing for our car shows 449 hp;
- more than 150 km a day, yes, at €4 per extra kilometre;
- a driver under 25 or with under three years on their licence, no, as with the whole fleet;
- a track day, no, as with the whole fleet.
How much does it cost to rent the GLE53 AMG in Marbella?
The GLE53 AMG costs €650 for one day, and the daily rate falls with the length of the rental to €450 from 30 days. We cannot quote you a GLE 450 price, because that car is not for rent here, which makes this table the only real tariff in the comparison:

Two sums help when budgeting for the GLE53 AMG. A week with 1,200 km comes to €3,850 for the rental plus €600 for the 150 km over, so €4,450 before fuel. And if your stay is close to a month, compare before fixing the dates, because 29 days at €550 cost €15,950 while 30 days at €450 cost €13,500.
What does the rate include, and what do you pay separately?
The GLE53 AMG rate includes fully comprehensive insurance for any length of rental, free delivery and collection in Marbella, Puerto Banús and Málaga Airport, a full clean before handover and 150 km a day. Those kilometres add up to 1,050 km in a week and 4,500 km in a month. Sotogrande is possible on request.
You pay separately for fuel, on a full-to-full basis, and for traffic fines and tolls during the rental, along with the cost of processing them. Each kilometre over the limit costs €4 on the GLE53 AMG, so 100 km over comes to €400. The insurance excess depends on the model and appears in the booking confirmation, before any payment.
The deposit on the GLE53 AMG is €4,000. It is held on a credit card in the main driver's name, never charged, and released once the car is back and checked; how long the amount takes to reappear on the card depends on your bank. Which other Mercedes in the fleet costs the same as the GLE53 AMG?
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz G400 has exactly the same daily rates as the GLE53 AMG, from €650 for one day to €450 a day from 30 days, and also seats five. It is a different kind of car, a G-Class diesel off-roader, so the spec comparison counts for more here than the price comparison does:

At the same rate, the GLE53 AMG holds €1,000 less on your card and charges €1 less for each extra kilometre. How do you book the GLE53 AMG in Marbella?
To drive the GLE53 AMG you must be 25 or older and have held your licence for at least three years. At handover we check each driver's licence and passport or ID card, and licences issued outside the EU also need an International Driving Permit. The website charges nothing, and a request is not yet a booking. There are five steps:
- Send the car, dates, time and delivery address by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Give the names of all drivers and, if you plan to go to Gibraltar or Portugal, the route, because that trip is arranged with the insurer in advance.
- Receive availability, the total price, the deposit and the excess in writing the same day.
- The car arrives at the agreed time with a full tank, clean and photographed, and the contract is signed in about ten minutes.
- At the end it is collected wherever you finish, the airport included, and the deposit is released after the check.
Additional drivers on the GLE53 AMG are insured on the same terms as the main driver, and each one shows a licence and an ID document at handover. The deposit card must belong to the main driver; someone else's card will not do. If anything happens to the car, tell us the same day.
