Every rate includes comprehensive insurance, free delivery and collection in Marbella, Puerto Banús and Málaga airport, and 150 km a day. What is the Range Rover Sport, and which version do you get?

The Range Rover Sport
is Land Rover's luxury SUV built for fast road driving with all-wheel drive, and its third generation has been in production since 2022. The car in our fleet is a 2024 petrol model with 530 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and five seats. It is based in Marbella and delivered wherever you need it on the coast.

According to the Range Rover Sport technical data on Wikipedia, the 530 PS version of the third generation is the P530: a 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 with 750 Nm of torque, a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox and a top speed of 250 km/h. The body is 4,946 mm long and 2,047 mm wide, which is large SUV territory and worth remembering in the tight car parks of central Marbella.

How much does the Range Rover Sport cost per day by rental length?

The daily rate drops as the rental gets longer: €500 for one or two days, €450 for 3 to 6 days, €425 from one week and €350 from 30 days. The table shows each tier with a worked example, the total you would pay and the mileage included in that total at no extra cost.

Rental length Price per day Example Total Included km
1 day €500 1 day €500 150 km
2 days €500 weekend €1,000 300 km
3 to 6 days €450 5 days €2,250 750 km
Week (7 days or more) €425 7 days €2,975 1,050 km
Fortnight (15 days or more) €425 15 days €6,375 2,250 km
Month (30 days or more) €350 30 days €10,500 4,500 km

The minimum rental is one day and there is no hourly hire. For a stay of a month or longer, the page on long-term car rental on the Costa del Sol explains how the monthly rate works; on this car it comes to €150 a day less than the single-day rate.

What does the price include, and what do you pay separately?

The rental price already covers everything you need to drive away, and the final rate reaches you in writing before any payment. Nothing is charged on the website. Whether you book one day or one month, every rate includes the following:

  • comprehensive insurance for the whole rental;
  • free delivery and collection in Marbella, Puerto Banús and Málaga airport;
  • a full clean before handover;
  • 150 km a day, which adds up to 1,050 km a week and 4,500 km a month;
  • a single phone number for the whole rental.

Fuel is not included and works on a full to full basis. Each kilometre above the 150 daily allowance costs €4 on this car, and traffic fines or tolls during the rental are paid by the renter. The €4,000 deposit is held on the main driver's credit card and released after the car has been checked. Our guide to how the security deposit works on a luxury car rental covers the whole process and the difference from the insurance excess.

Which Costa del Sol trips does the Range Rover Sport suit?

The Range Rover Sport suits the trips where a two-seat sports car falls short: family or friends, luggage, a mountain road and a motorway on the same day. With five seats, all-wheel drive and 530 hp, it works as well for an airport arrival as for a day inland. These are the routes our clients drive most often.

Ronda on the A-397

The A-397 links San Pedro de Alcántara, part of the Marbella municipality, with the town of Ronda. According to the Spanish Wikipedia entry for the A-397 road, it is 48.67 km long, with a very winding layout and steep gradients. Expect plenty of bends. The round trip is roughly 100 km, so a day out to Ronda fits inside the 150 km daily allowance included in the rate.

Sotogrande and the western coast

Sotogrande, with its golf courses and marina, is another regular destination west of Marbella. Delivery to Sotogrande is possible on request, on terms agreed when you book. If your plans include crossing into Gibraltar or continuing to Portugal, mention it when booking, because those trips are cleared with the insurer in advance. The ferry to Morocco is not allowed with any car in the fleet.

Málaga airport and Puerto Banús

For your arrival, the car waits at the Málaga airport terminal with a full tank, cleaned and photographed, with no desk to find and no queue. Our guide to car delivery at Málaga airport walks through each step of that day. Puerto Banús is also a free delivery point, like any villa, hotel or marina in Marbella.

Can the Range Rover Sport enter Marbella's low emission zone?

Marbella's low emission zone (ZBE) covers the old town of Marbella and the old town of San Pedro de Alcántara, where most streets are already pedestrianised or restricted. According to the Andalucia.com guide to the Marbella ZBE, cars with a DGT C or B label may enter as long as they park in a public or private car park.

A petrol car first registered in 2024, like our Range Rover Sport, meets the Euro 6 standard and carries a DGT environmental label of category C or higher. Parking is the hard part. The easiest way to visit the old town is to leave the car in an underground public car park and continue on foot, because the Plaza de los Naranjos and its surrounding streets do not take through traffic.

What are the alternatives on a similar budget?

Two cars in the Marbella fleet compete with the Range Rover Sport on price and on use. The Mercedes-Benz GLE53 AMG is the sportier choice, and the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the choice for groups of up to seven. All three carry a €4,000 deposit and the same 150 km daily allowance.

Car Seats Power 0 to 100 km/h 1 day 30 days or more
Range Rover Sport 5 530 hp 4.5 s €500 €350
Mercedes-Benz GLE53 AMG 5 449 hp 4.9 s €650 €450
Mercedes-Benz V-Class 7 237 hp 7.4 s €500 €350

The Mercedes-Benz GLE53 AMG for rent in Marbella costs €150 a day more than the Range Rover Sport, with 449 hp and five seats. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class for groups has exactly the same rates as the Range Rover Sport but seats seven and runs on diesel, which makes it the logical pick when your group does not fit in a five-seat SUV.

How do you book the Range Rover Sport, step by step?

You book without paying anything on the website, and every amount is confirmed in writing on the same day. Each driver must be 25 or older and have held a licence for at least three years. The whole process takes five steps:

  1. Choose your dates, the delivery address and the time you want the car.
  2. Send a request by WhatsApp, phone, email or the form on the Range Rover Sport page, with the names of all drivers.
  3. Receive availability, the total price and the delivery time in writing the same day.
  4. At handover, licences and IDs are checked, the deposit is held on the main driver's card and the contract is signed, in about ten minutes.
  5. At the end of the rental, we collect the car wherever you are and check it so the deposit can be released.

If you would rather not drive, a chauffeur can be arranged with the Range Rover Sport: give the dates, hours and route when you book, and the chauffeur terms are confirmed in writing together with the rate. Track days and driving courses are not allowed with any car in the fleet.

Questions on this topic

The lowest rate is €350 a day, for rentals of 30 days or more. On a short rental, the rate is €500 a day for one or two days and €450 a day for 3 to 6 days. Every rate includes comprehensive insurance, delivery and 150 km a day.

Included kilometres add up over the whole rental: three days give you 450 km and a week gives you 1,050 km. Each kilometre above that total costs €4 on the Range Rover Sport. If you plan a long route, mention it when booking and it will be reflected in the confirmed price.

Yes. Delivery and collection at the Málaga airport terminal are free, just like at a villa or hotel in Marbella or Puerto Banús. You can pick the car up at the airport and hand it back at your villa, or the other way round, and the price stays the same either way.

The Range Rover Sport has five seats in two rows and no third row. Five adults with holiday luggage fit comfortably, but if six or seven of you are travelling, the right choice is the seven-seat Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which has the same daily rates as the Range Rover Sport.

Yes, as long as they are named in the contract. Each additional driver must be 25 or older, have held a licence for three years and show their licence and an ID at handover. Additional drivers are insured on the same terms as the main driver and sign nothing extra on the day.
